Become an AWA Writer Member

This membership is open to anyone!

Whether you’re new to AWA or long-time supporter, this is a great opportunity to write more frequently, improve your skills, build community, and contribute to AWA’s mission.

AWA Writer Members are invited to attend eight online writing sessions included in their membership! They may also join us for additional writing sessions at a sliding scale, $10-20 USD. We’re also developing a reading series and a publication, both of which will highlight AWA Writers and AWA Affiliates and celebrate the voices in our community.

When we introduce our Blue Pencil Sessions, short editing bursts that allow you to get deep, thoughtful feedback from AWA facilitators, writer members will receive a substantial discount.

When you become an AWA Writer Member, you receive: 

• Eight free online writing sessions per membership year
• Opportunity to submit to AWA’s semi-annual online reading series
• Potential to be published in AWA’s annual members-only anthology
• Knowledge that your dues are supporting AWA’s non-profit mission: to support the voices of established and emerging writers, to free silenced and marginalized voices, and to promote respect for the artist in all writers through the use of the AWA method, developed by Pat Schneider and described in her book, Writing Alone and With Others.
